

Lori Milne
Tax Collector
Lori is a native of Skaneateles, graduating from Skaneateles Central Schools and Cayuga Community College with a degree in Accounting. She is number three daughter born to Wayne and Marion Lear.
Lori's Mom, Marion Lear, collected Town and School taxes starting in the mid- sixties. Lori became her Deputy in 1983 and ran for the elected post in 1994 after Marion retired. Lori's tenure at the Town included working with Judge Jack Palmer as Court Clerk back in the seventies and Assessor Clerk to Assessors Robert L Brown, Jr., David Sheppard and Kathy Dove from 1994 until 2010.
Lori has also held various administrative positions within the Skaneateles Central School system ranging from Administrative Assistant to Director of Athletics, High School Front Office Aide and, currently, Administrative Assistant to Elaine MacLachlan, Assistant Director of Facilities.
Always anxious to get involved with “things that need to be done”, she has wide experience with various organizations:

Member of the Republican Committee since 1996 serving as Treasurer for several years and currently serving as Secretary.

Serving on the Board of Directors and Resolutions Committee of the New York State Association of Towns since 2009.

Currently a member of both the New York State and Onondaga County Association of Tax Receivers and Collectors where she has served in various executive positions including President and Vice President

Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce and currently serving on the Foundation Board.

She has been married to her husband, Jim for 40 years and they have a son, Adam, and a daughter, Claire.
